Lindsey "Z" is an autism advocate, musician, and writer who was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Diagnosed with autism at age 2 at UCLA's Department of Psychiatry, she moved to the United States at age 11 and has since lived in various cities across the country.

A classically trained pianist since age 6, Lindsey pursued her passion for music through college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology. She later transitioned to advocacy work, leveraging her personal experiences as both an autistic individual and sibling to an autistic person to speak at numerous autism conferences.

Based in the Washington, D.C. area since 2009, Lindsey has worked in various roles including consulting for businesses and educational institutions, completing the Partners in Policymaking advocacy training program, and participating in CREA's Disability, Sexuality & Rights Online Institute. She has also contributed to peer-reviewed research addressing mental health care and has been featured in an Emmy-nominated documentary film "Autism in Love" and Glamour Magazine.

As an anorexia survivor and member of the LGBTQIAP+ community, Lindsey advocates for both eating disorder awareness and LGBTQIAP+ rights. She founded Naked Brain Ink in 2010, a platform where she curates resources focused on neurodiversity, sexuality, and mental health while sharing her personal experiences and expertise.
