The Research Basics Training is a 3-part course that teaches community members about the research process, how to make sure research is ethical, and how to be a community partner.

The Research Basics Training was made by autistic and non-autistic people who worked together on every step. We created it because we could not find a course that was accessible for autistic people with different needs.

We hope this training will teach autistic people what they need to know about research so they can take part in research or make their own research projects.

We recommend making course materials available to participants a few days before class time.

Participant Manual: Share the PowerPoint slides, or print two slides per page with space for notes for participants who prefer to have a printout.

Class Schedule: each class takes approximately two hours and should be offered on three consecutive weeks.

Please make sure to give credit whenever you use these training materials.
