Data Use Agreements (DUA)

Prior to submitting to or participating in any ICR projects, your institution will need to establish a data use agreement with the ICR through UCLA. We recommend ICR applicants start the process of DUA signage in tandem with institutional review boards, ICR and other regulatory applications. Only one agreement is needed per institution.

This DUA will cover these core tenets:

  1. Bilateral sharing of data
  2. Allowance for the sharing of data with other organizations with a similar agreement
  3. Appropriate crediting for roles in research

In addition, we require signing of a release and waiver of liability. This is a set of terms that researchers involved with the ICR must abide by.
